Careers website from ILEX

New Dedicated Careers Website From ILEX

09 April 2008 pr010.08

Anyone looking for information on a career in law now has an exciting new place to go to, following the launch of a new one-stop web site dedicated exclusively to legal careers by the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX).

The crisply designed site www.ilexcareers.org.uk contains a wealth of information for prospective students, anyone seeking a change in career direction or moving within the legal profession. It has been designed as a complete package of easily accessible information in one place, including information on which course is right for you, the ILEX route to becoming a lawyer, a range of case studies of successful ILEX members and full details of all the ILEX courses available and where to get them.

The site is the first part of a completely new family of ILEX websites to ‘go live,’ with the main site scheduled to be introduced later in the year. Designed to be used as a complete package, the careers site is laid out to make it easy for potential students to find an area of particular interest to them and a course to match that interest. But it has also been also been set up to link into the new main site, giving users the same look and feel, while retaining an overall sense of individuality.

There is also additional information on ILEX, how to become an ILEX member and links to all accredited ILEX centres that currently offer ILEX courses England and Wales, as well as those overseas.

The new site is part of the on going ILEX programme to introduce a fresh, new look to all ILEX information, which includes ILEX advertising, careers literature, new websites and the recently redesigned ‘Legal Executive’ house magazine.

“This is a major step forward in how we present our information to the public on the ILEX way to a career in law,” said ILEX President, Lesley Graham. “But we do not intend the site to be a static one. It will reflect changes in the range of courses that ILEX offers to law students, the increased opportunities that will become available to Legal Executives in the future, and grow as we move forward.

“Initial comment from education centres and students who have already seen the site has been very favourable and we will be taking into account comments from users as we develop the site further.”
