Local Government Chartered Legal Executive of the year 2015 crowned

David Cockfield FCILEx, from Wolverhampton City Council, has been named Chartered Legal Executive of the year at the annual Lawyers in Local Government awards.
The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx), along with Hoopers International Probate Genealogists, proudly co-sponsored the dedicated award, presented on 20 November 2015, by Clive Anderson to recognise outstanding achievement by a Chartered Legal Executive working in local government in any field of law.
This year’s other finalist, are Duncan Creevy FCILEx from the London Borough of Enfield, was narrowly pipped to the post by David. David said: “I feel passionately about CILEx providing a route to a career in law which might not otherwise exist for many.”
The ceremony celebrated the best of the legal profession working in local government. Over 1,000 CILEx members work in local authorities across England and Wales, supporting councils with their legal expertise and specialist experience, and contributing to their local communities.
