CILEx reveals finalists for National Awards
3 July 2018
The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives has unveiled finalists for its inaugural National Awards, which celebrate the best and the brightest in the profession.
The nominees demonstrate the range of environments CILEx members work in, from large City law firms to thriving high street practices, and from local government to professional institutions.
They will be presented on 6 September at Underglobe, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, hosted by well-known actress and comedian Sally Phillips.
CILEx Chief Executive Linda Ford, who was one of the judges for the awards, says: “What was especially encouraging was the high standard of the entries, which made our job pleasingly difficult. They offered a reminder, if any were needed, of the contribution our members make to their clients, the profession and the rule of law.”
CILEx President Millicent Grant adds: “We are proud to support and represent a wealth of talented people and organisations and want to acknowledge those who are leading the way and whose work closely aligns to our mission, our vision and our values.
“The law is an ever-changing, forward-thinking sector and it is time for CILEx and its members to be loud and proud about the role we play in it. These awards will showcase what a vibrant part of the profession we represent.”
The National Awards form part of the ‘CILEx is Changing’ project, which also includes a major overhaul of the organisation’s governance to ensure it is fit for the future.
