CILEx response to the Labour Party consultation on a New Deal for Leaseholders.

CILEx is glad that issues relating to leasehold abuses are being considered as a cross party issue. Pervasive and wide-reaching practices abusing leasehold tenure at the expense of the public have left homeowners vulnerable in their own homes, and it is for good reason that a multitude of reform efforts have already been dedicated, and continue to be dedicated, towards upheaving the sector. Possible solutions have been discussed time and time again and it is now that we need to see at least some of those solutions realised.
